Our School
Safari Schools started its operations in 1968 with a Kindergarten off Lugogo bypass, in Sports Club premises owned by BAT Uganda, now, Lugogo Baptist Church.
The school was founded by Rosalie Ann Humphries a British teacher who later left Uganda in 1974 and passed the business on to Mrs Hilda Mpairwe, a professional teacher specialised in infant education.
Mrs. Mpairwe had her professional training in Australia at Camdenville College, and at Makerere University Institute of Education in the early 1970’s. She is currently Principal of Safari schools with a wealth of experience invaluable to the learning journey of your child and steering the business to a new generation of teaching and administration professionals.
In 1986, the school moved on to its own premises at Sports Lane Lugogo, close to the Rugby Club, where it conducted operations until relocation to a temporary premise at Plot 95 Bukoto Street, Kampala pending the construction of its purpose-built modern learning facility at Kira Mulawa, opening in January 2025.
